Hi there, welcome to this work in progress
I've recently decided to give the whole "making a website"–thing another try — this is what I have so far. (In coding anyway; there are some more ideas left in my mind.)
Some stuff for now
Well since you're here, you probably already know that my name is Jory Geerts — and if you didn't, the domain name makes it pretty easy to gues. Chances are you also already know I'm from the Netherlands, that I'm male and that I'm somewhat of a geek.
I'm nearing the end of my education in computer science and hope to hold a bachelor degree in it by the end of next summer. During that education, I learned a lot of Java, some C and C++, a few assembly instructions (which is still way to much), got to poke around with a few different databases (Oracle, Sybase, MySQL) and even got to play with some very cool toys from companies like Cisco and Avaya. I also learned boring stuff like UML and they even felt like teaching me things like organizational theory.
I've also done some work with the classical Web stack; PHP & MySQL apps running on the Apache httpd, hosted by some *nix. Throw in some HTML, CSS and Javascript and you've got a party website.
On a more personal level, I'm getting bored with typing now. Bye.
